About Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology

The Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology, a nodal agency of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India in Chhattisgarh, was instituted in 2001 with a view to optimize sustainable development of the State through Science and Technology. Some of the major objectives of the council are, to identify the areas where Science and Technology input is required for progress of the state, to ensure better utilization of the resources of the state and to promote and popularize science for modernization of the state. The council has launched a program of promoting the young talent of the state by organizing ‘Chhattisgarh Young Scientist Congress’ every year. The Congress aims to identify budding scientists and provide encouragement to their research plans and programs.
