Chhattisgarh Young Scientist Congress (CYSC) was launched by
Chhattisgarh Council of Science & Technology (CCOST), Raipur
to promote the young talents of the state. Young Scientist
Congress is organized every year to mark the discovery of
“Raman Effect” by Indian Physicist Sir Chandrasekhar Venkata
Raman on 28th February. The Main focus of the Chhattisgarh
Young Scientist Congress is to provide a right platform for the
upcoming enthusiastic young researchers and to promote them to
excel in their fields.
To promote young researchers from each discipline, it has been
made a custom to felicitate one young researcher from each
discipline based on the relevance of their research work and
presentation in the Congress.
A certificate with a cash prize of Rs. 21000.00
A single visit shall be provided for pursuing his/her research work in any National Laboratory/Research Centre/ Recognized University engaged in advanced research in India for two months.
Awardees will be eligible for TA/DA during their stay in the research establishment as per the norms of the Council. He/She has to avail the facility within two years of receiving the award.
Age on 28th February 2026, should be below 35 years for male and 38 years for female candidates.
Research experience of two years after obtaining a postgraduate degree in the science subjects listed above or bachelor’s degree in the case of medical/ engineering/technology subjects.
Original research papers with single authorship will be acceptable. The work should have been carried out in the State of Chhattisgarh and not presented/published elsewhere is an essential requirement.
Awardees of previously held Chhattisgarh Young Scientist Congress shall not be eligible for participation, for a period of three years, from the date of last award.
